On August 8, 2008, he attended the Opening Ceremonies for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. He went to Beijing to promote the province of British Columbia at the 2008 Summer Olympics. On February 12, 2010, Campbell was in attendance at the opening ceremony for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver and attended events during the games, including games in the ice hockey tournament. He made a lot of television appearances during the Olympics, talking about Vancouver and the province of British Columbia hosting the games. He was also present at the closing ceremony.”
